"Genealogy in the region of GOLLNOW (Pommern)"

I started with my genealogy research 15 years ago and on this page i want to share my knowledge about the region of Gollnow in Pommern, where 95 % of my ancestors come from.

Where exactly is  Gollnow ?
Gollnow is in the former german province Pommern, near the city Stettin, actually located aprox. 25 kilometer behind the polnish border near the Ostsee-coast
And where exactly is Pommern ?
Pommern was one of the german provinces of the "Deutsches Reich" before WW2. Today this province belongs partly to the german province Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and partly to Poland.
