Eichberg was not an own village, only a "Wohnplatz" (living place).
At the census on 17. Mai 1939 in the province Pommern existed 2.807 villages with 10.105 Wohnplätzen (incl. villages).
The children of Grünhorst und Eichberg went to the school of Eichberg. Der teacher was Hugo Rehbein (1930)
As my grandfather told me, in the year 1940 in Eichberg lived the following families:
Kaiser, Kliese, Klütz, Knaack, Poppendiek, Radtke, Siewert, Sternke, Umlandt, Zastrow

Impressions:
I have a special relation to Eichberg, because my mother (geb.Sternke) was born here and this time i found the farm of her parents and grandparents (and where she was born). Very helpful for this were the detailed historic maps from 1890 (1:25.000) and a handmade map of the village by my grandfather, who lived in Langenhals.
Eichberg isn't an own village, it belongs to Gollnow. It consits only of some farms, at the edge of the forest between Langenhals and Gollnow only linked by path. The farms are still in use, but it's ovious that it is not easy to survive by farming in this region. The polish farmer on the former farm of my mother was very kind. I introduced myself and asked for taking some pictures. Next time i have let a local join me for translating, would make things a lot easyier.
Eichberg has no own church or cemetary.
